Las Vegas is a microcosm for the changes and challenges facing many metropolitan areas in the western region of the U.S. Among these are population growth, water security, demand for housing and health care services, educational innovation, an aging population, and economic growth. 

I am not politically ambitious. I am problem-solving ambitious. And regardless of the issue, I will approach the problem and identify solutions the way I always do: examine the data and review research, meet with and talk to stakeholders to listen to their concerns and interests, and work collaboratively to find a sensible solution.

Economic Innovation and Fiscal Transparency

  • Expand support and programming for small businesses and entrepreneurs to help them grow
  • Support the creation of collaborative working spaces in Ward 6
  • Promote greater regional collaboration, which will help Nevada successfully compete for federal grants
  • Strengthen collaboration among local governments and our institutions of higher education to promote innovation, public-private partnerships, and economic diversification
  • Ease the cost of doing business in Las Vegas by updating out-of-date codes and regulations
  • Promote greater transparency of public spending
  • Invest in evidence-based programs to ensure greater return on investment of our public dollars
  • Strengthen accountability measures around expenditures and outcomes

Personal safety

  • Work with LVMPD Northwest Area Command to reduce violent crimes and improve lighting
  • Support the expansion of neighborhood watch programs
  • Expand access to mental health services and programs
  • Place a social worker in our neighborhood library
  • Maintain and expand trails where residents can walk, ride bikes, and recreate
  • Ensure our parks are clean and safe spaces

Education and Workforce

  • Ensure high-quality educational options are available to all families
  • Expand work-based learning opportunities and internships for youth with employers in our neighborhood
  • Support innovation and new public-private partnerships to expand affordable, convenient child care options for our families
  • Work with workforce development stakeholders to create a new Employ NV Career Hub in Ward 6
  • Support educational innovation

Caring for Our Neighbors

  • Expand housing options that are affordable — for veterans, seniors, workers, young families, teachers, and first responders
  • Ensure veterans and seniors have access to the services and wrap-around supports they need
  • Protect seniors from fraud
  • Uphold the unique character of our neighborhood through responsible (“smart”) growth
